Moose Creek Ranch

Moose Creek Ranch is a boutique guest ranch in Victor, Idaho, in the heart of Teton Valley about twenty-five minutes from Jackson Hole. The property is really two destinations in one: horseback trail rides, fly fishing and hiking in the summer, backcountry and cross-country skiing in the winter, with cabins, glamping and a restored event barn running through it all. The challenge was building one website that could sell both seasons properly without maintaining two websites.

The answer was a seasonal content engine. Editors can vary any section of any page between summer and winter, or hide a section entirely in one season, and the whole editor can be switched into a season to work on it. The winter version of a page can be built out in July without touching what guests currently see. On the front end, visitors flip the entire site between seasons with a sun and snowflake toggle in the header, and their choice follows them for the rest of their visit. Getting this to work on any content without special-casing each section was a rewarding challenge.

Of note, this was also the first site we launched on our new native Gutenberg block system. The editing experience is now true WYSIWYG, so what the editor sees is exactly what ships. The front end is lean too, with JavaScript only loading where a page actually uses it.

The site is also wired into how the ranch operates: wedding and event enquiries land directly in the sales team’s Tripleseat account as structured leads rather than plain form emails.

One website, two seasons, and a property that makes the screenshots easy. I’m really proud of this one.
