Advisor.ca is an online publication for professional financial advisors that has been running for decades, accumulating over 40,000 blog articles. Migrating this many posts from the previous site to this one was a massive technical challenge; especially given that the migration had to take into consideration that the previous design used the WordPress classic editor, while the new design was made custom for the Gutenberg editor. I leveraged the WP All Import/Export plugin due to how robust the customizations can be during the migration. Each post was run through a search and replace/regex function that added all the necessary formatting and tagging to have the layout work correctly on the new site.

This site was my first foray into a major build made entirely with custom Gutenberg blocks. While the process was admittedly esoteric and much more complex than traditional WordPress development, the result is an easy to use graphical interface for the client on the back end.
