Lord Elgin

The Lord Elgin Hotel is a historic gem in the heart of Canada’s Capital, steeped in decades of elegance and charm. My first big solo(-ish) build since returning to Wallop, the new website is the culmination of a full team effort from top to bottom. Of note on the dev side was the decision to focus on using GSAP for animations and motion. A side effect benefit of this is that the user can choose to turn off animations and motion wholesale if they cause discomfort (a rare but evidently real issue).

If you’re unaware, you can google the reduce motion setting for whatever OS you’re using and it should be respected by the site if you turn motion off.
